This page is the new home of my wordpress widget for Lijit Search.
This wijit allows you to add the Lijit search box and functionality to your widget enabled wordpress site.
This should work fine with any 2.0 - 2.1* version of wordpress that uses the wordpress widget plugin available here . If you are on a self hosted, or non wordpress.com install, and have version 2.2 or higher, you already have the widget plugin.

Installation instructions:

  1. Simply download the widget here, and unzip the file.
  2. Upload the myLijit.php file to your /wp-content/plugins directory
  3. Login to your wordpress admin console and go to the “Plugins” tab. Activate the plugin on this page
  4. Go to the Presentation tab, click on the Widgets tab, and you can now drag it to any location on your sidebar.
  5. Edit the widget by clicking form.jpg, select the title for the widget block, and specify your Lijit username.
  6. That should do it. Assuming everything went well, you should be able to visit your blog, and see the new addition to your sidebar.
